SOPHIA RAGOMO
Photography has long played an important role in music. From documenting important moments such as The Beatles’ final show to gracing the cover of Bowie’s iconic album “Aladdin Sane,” it is clear that music rarely exists without photography. Photography also has the ability to share music with others, capturing what the average person may never witness behind-the-scenes.
One of my earliest memories from when I was little is watching music videos on MTV. The people, the costumes, and the songs all fascinated me. As I grew older, I did anything that would get me closer to music. Now, I view the world of music from behind my camera. For many, taking photos at a concert may be about sending it to friends or sharing it on social media. But for me, music is so much more than the photographs I make. It is the artists I collaborate with. It is the friends I enjoy it with. And it is the people whom it helps and brings together.
Thank you for the music.
